First Avenue set the stage for The Best New Bands of 2015 concert event this past Friday night. With a full bill of very diverse genres, the concert drew a near capacity crowd that maintained their level of enthusiasm and commitment to the artists on stage.
The evening’s festivities were presented by RADIO K and City Pages, and hosted by 89.3 The Current, GO 96.3, and RADIO K. The artists included headliner Aero Flynn, Eric Mayson, Baby Shell, Bruise Violet, Perfume Monster, Lexii Alijal, and Murder Shoes. All the artists engaged the crowd during their somewhat short sets.
However, the evening took an interesting turn when Bruise Violet hit the stage. The youthful 16 to 19 year old all female driven punk elite, started and ended their set with high-energy precision. Solid, in your face, punk. Awesome!
