Ever since I was a small child, I’ve always wanted to attend a ball! Here’s our chance with Bad Bad Hats at First Avenue this December 21st.

Bad Bad Hats are native to Minneapolis and are a popular indie rock band that has been performing since 2012. The group started out at Macalester College and since then has grown to tour the nation and have national attention from the New Yorker, NPR, and many more. Additionally, the indie-group has toured with popular artists such as Hippo Campus and Third Eye Blind. The Trio, consisting of Kerry Alexander, Chris Hoge and Connor Davison consider their music to be a 90s-ish vibe with some pop-punk mixed in as well.

Joining the Not-Nice-hats will be Ratboys and Last Import. Ratboys is a Chicago-based duo consisting of Julia Steiner and Dave Sagan. Formed in 2009, the Americana duo consider themselves storytellers and they dwell in their self-titled genre of “post-country.” They have released 2 albums alongside 3 EPs, with a fourth album on the way titled “Printer’s Devil.” Perhaps we’ll be in for a few free samples on this night?

Alongside the Boys of Rat and the Hats will then be Last Import, as well. Last Import is an all-female trio based out of Minneaoplis, Minnesota as well. The squad consists of Emily Borje, Grace Baldwin, and Jane Halldorson. Their first EP came out just this past year in 2018 titled “Songs for Adam.” They have shared stages with Foster the People as well as Bastille, and have performed at a wide variety of quality venues including this very one – First Ave.

Tickets are still available HERE and in the meantime, check out a taste of the Bad Bad Hats below.
