The Whiskey Junction hosted Twin Town Guitars Quarterly Recitals on August 7th. With the event covering bands comprised of students with various instruments and different experience level, the evening proved to be fun filled and very entertaining as it showcased youth bands as well as adult bands.

Twin Cities Media was able to catch a couple of the adult bands that performed later in the evening. There were great performances by Cold Captains (a Wilco cover band) and On A Wednesday (a Radiohead cover band)

Twin Town Guitars holds showcases about every three months, as well as spring and winter recitals at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater. They also offer singer/songwriter nights at Bull Run Coffee Shop, and have had youth and adult groups audition at the Minnesota State Fair the last two years.

With a solid program running 6+ years, Twin Town Guitars has a lot to be proud of. Carrie Bell, Director of Music Education at Twin Town Guitars, commented, “We definitely love to give our students a chance to shine. Live performance opportunities are very important to us! After all, you never know if we are giving the next Prince a chance to step onto the stage for the first time.”
