As the weather starts to change throughout Minnesota, the temp is certainly heating up in the local country rock music scene. Neisen’s Sports Bar & Grill in Savage, MN was the place to be Saturday evening as The Pre-Heat In The Street concert series launched its first stop. With an excellent Pre-Heat duo featuring The Plott Hounds and Chris Hawkey, the music kicked into full swing The Plott Hounds.

The Plott Hounds charged into their set and wasted no time getting the crowd engaged. Fan favorite songs were delivered with excellence along with new, un-released songs off their upcoming album ‘Living Free’ which is highly anticipated in June/July 2015. New songs like ‘This Ain’t No Country Song’ and the title track ‘Living Free or Dying To Try’ were delivered brilliantly and musically tight. The Plott Hounds were joined by the very talented Zach Sershon, who added a nice flavor of keyboard/piano to The Plott Hounds set for the evening. New band member Ross Schulz (drums) provided a impressive rhythm punch to The Plott Hounds overall signature sound and highly complimented the deep rooted artistic abilities of Josh (lap & petal steel), Jeff (lead guitar), Shea (bass), Ansley (vocals), and Noah (vocals, rhythm guitar). If you haven’t seen The Plott Hounds live, it is an evening that will not disappoint.
The pre-heat series build up comes to huge climax at a festival-style concert on July 25th in Glencoe, MN. With an extremely strong bill featuring The Plott Hounds, Chris Hawkey, Eric Paslay, and Montgomery Gentry, it is a concert not to miss.
