The Mark Andrew Band is turning heads with the independent release of their crowd-funded, new album The Eclectic Electric. American Idol & The Voice favorite, Mark Andrew, departs from his singer/songwriter past and delves into the creation of a full band identity. The Eclectic Electric displays top-notch musicianship and thrilling performances by his core band members along with other Minneapolis guest musicians. The album also includes a remix of one song by Lazerbeak of hip hop collective Doomtree.
The Mark Andrew Band, with the help of Minneapolis producer Kevin Bowe, displays its versatility and creativity as it explores various genres and styles. Always inventive but sensitive to the song as a whole, the music is tingling-good and along with Mark Andrew’s unique and soulful vocals, The Eclectic Electric packs a punch.
After appearances with The Guess Who and Eric Burdon (The Animals), the Mark Andrew Band is poised to make a significant impression on a much broader audience. Borrowing from aspects of the great music of the past and fusing that with a new, vibrant sound, they create an incredible and entertaining musical experience.
The band will be releasing their new album “The Eclectic Electric” on 11/23 at Famous Dave’s in Uptown supporting the White Iron Band and also Dives starting at 8 PM
