Minneapolis-based Kat Perkins will be hitting the local scene for two great performances. On Sunday, June 28th, Kat will perform at The Pride Saloon Block Party in downtown Minneapolis. Then, on July 3rd, Kat will be hammering it out on the main stage at The Taste of Minnesota in Waconia, MN.
As most know, Kat really wowed audiences on the NBC television singing competition ‘The Voice’ with her rendition of Journey’s ‘Open Arms’ and a rocking version of Carrie Underwood’s ‘Good Girl’. Known for her heavier singing style and lovely tattooed appearance, Kat Perkins shows have been selling out since her television run. Hailed by ‘The Voice’ music director Paul Mirkovich as “the best female rock singer we’ve ever had on the show” Kat Perkins has built upon her first single release, ‘Fearless’ and has recently released her newest single ‘Drive’. The new single has been rapidly climbing up the iTunes charts over the past month. One listen and you too will be hooked. And don’t fret, Kat’s new album will hit the streets on July 10th. Could a CD release show be in the works? … stay tuned.
If being an amazing performing artist wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Kat has been heavily involved in speaking engagements. Kat has spoken more than 300 times this past school year to over 30,000 students across the country about bullying. Her success is truly showing through as she continues to build her business, between performing, recording, speaking, a regular segment on MyTalk, and occasionally co-hosting Twin Cities Live, Kat Perkin’s is a beautiful example of doing what one loves … and doing it very well.
