It’s been a while since Janelle Monáe graced a Twin Cities stage. Janelle has been everywhere from The Varsity, First Avenue, and even State Theater. This time, though – they will be playing a room 4x the size and it is about TIME.
The new album The Age Of Pleasure has been raved about since its release this summer. It’s easy to see why. It’s a powerful and liberated work that exudes confidence and features guests like Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Doecii, and even Grace Jones.
From Monáe’s albums to legendary award show performances, the artist is absolutely unstoppable. I would consider Janelle Monáe to be an absolute must-see artist (even though I have never managed to get in… I will not miss this opportunity)!
