Do you ever get drunk and think to yourself “bartender, take my keys… I’m drunk and I don’t want to go home?” I can’t relate, because when I drink – I need my cow pillow pet, or I won’t sleep.

JOIN US at this awesome show and get your tickets HERE while you still can. Who is Elle King? We’ll get there – first, who is Red Clay Strays

Red Clay Strays will be opening up for King as the first act, and we’re excited for this one, folks. I hadn’t heard of these stray dawgs before, so I looked them up and soon found the musical greatness which is “Good Godly Woman.” That song is playing as I write this and I cannot wait to bob my head along to this bluesy-badass group with a whiskey in my hand. They will be going hard, and seemingly flirting the line of blues, southern rock, and country – which is perfect in tandem with our main act.

Elle King is something of a legend. There are often cliche female artists who fall into the pink clothes and go-to-church attitude, but every once in a while we get a big middle finger to the status quo – think P!nk, Janis Joplin, my Mother – you name it. Elle falls into that hall of greatness – and for me personally, this show is a huge deal because my first show ever at the Armory was opened up by King; I was in college, and remember nothing (thanks, wine) besides the single moment when 5,000 college girls around me screamed “Ex’s and Oh’s” at the Armory.

King has been jamming out since 1999. So, she’s experienced, passionate (look up her performances), and to top it all off – she has the energy of a 22-year-old college kid with the maturity of a grandparent, and seemingly the humor of a 15-year-old; I had to chuckle when I saw “Come Home Get Your Wife” on King’s main website – we’re about to have fun.

See you at the A-FREAKIN-MEN Tour!
