Dance Off Your Thanksgiving Dinner With The Frights and Hockey Dad on 11/26 at The Entry

The Frights are invading the 7th Street Entry on Sunday, November 26th. Hailing from California, this three piece’s surf-punk sound is sure to be enough to help you dance off all of the Thanksgiving food you’ve had over the past couple of days. Since 2012, the group has been producing some of the most well polished and energetic modern-day surf punk music out there. At times their music can lean towards the world of doo-wop whereas, at other times, it comes off as straight up punk. Regardless, it’s music worthy of some dancing shoes so grab yours and spice up your Sunday. The Frights’ newest album “You Are Going To Hate This” came out last year and has been a staple in my playlist every since.

Opening this show is Vundabar, a band that completely caught me off guard when I saw them open for Rozwell Kid a couple of months ago. Known for not only their great music, but also their comedic set, this is sure to be an opening act that gets you in the mood for the night and has you forgetting it’s Sunday. Their quirky sound mixed with quirky stage presence is something I’m definitely looking forward to when it comes to this show.

The other band performing will be Hockey Dad. Hockey Dad is Zach Stephenson & Billy Fleming, two childhood sweethearts who met when Billy dropped in on Zach surfing the point, at the tender age of 4. One day, after a few finger paintings and their daily nap, Billy & Zach made a pact to become the greatest band… out of Windang (Australia).

Tickets are available here.
