Little did I know that when I stumbled into the Turf Club a couple of years ago, to cover the Melismatics, I would find another local band that has become a staple of my playlist: BNLX.
The trio of Ashley and Ed Ackerson and David Jarnstrom went straight to my heart as a “Child of New Wave” but it’s not retro. They infuse punk, a modern vibe, and a ton of cool light effects into their show. Shortly after that show the band went on a baby break leaving me wanting. But, great news: BNLX are back!
They just released a new single “Resist, Resist” and have a show at the Uptown VFW on Saturday April 8 with Mark Mallman and The Toxenes. Tickets are available HERE.
