If you don’t know who The Aces are, you can right this wrong and see them live at Fine Line on October 18th!
In high school, Sisters Cristal and Alicia Ramirez formed the band with their friends Katie Henderson and Ken Petty. Since then, they released an album in 2018 and opened for 5 Seconds of Summer promptly after announcing their debut headlining tour and consistently playing festivals and other significant events. In their latest album, I’ve Loved You For So Long, The Aces open up about growing up a part of the LGBTQ+ community within Mormon culture and how it affected their relationships, mental health, and overall view on life. A beautiful blend of indie-pop music matched with thought-provoking lyrics makes for a stunning listening experience.
You also won’t want to miss their opener, Carol Ades. Pop artist pulling inspiration from artists such as MUNA, Pheobe Bridgers, and Japanese House, Ades writes songs that celebrate life and all the emotions that come with it, good and bad.
