Xavier Wulf Set to Tear Up the Varsity 5/28

The underground hip hop king known as Xavier Wulf is set to take the stage here in the Twin Cities in just a few short weeks, or days depending on how you’d like to look at it. One of Memphis Tennessees most unique exports within the music industry, the music of Xavier Wulf embodies aggression. All the aggression or simply, energy as I prefer to call it,  packed into every track and instrumental in Wulfs repertoire are defining but also do well to draw in listeners new and old. Its Infectious and his uniquely lo-fi sound does well to separate him from the majority of the more radio friendly and or ‘mainstream’ acts that populate the hip hop landscape today.

While he hails from Tennessee, Xavier Wulf first garnered a fair sized national audience when he joined forces with the Miami based collective known as Raider Klan. Members of this group also included Denzel Curry, Chris Travis, SpaceGhostPurrp among others. This early move in his music career helped him to not only reach a wider audience but to hone in on his sound and opened up a world of possibilities for the aspiring rapper. While a hip hop head with a keen ear, or not so keen for that matter, may be able to pick out some of his more discernible influences, namely fellow Memphis raised and legendary Three Six Mafia, Wulf has carved his own lane post Raider Klan and his unique style and delivery are being noted and absorbed by the culture that is hip hop.

Xavier Wulf will bring his Hollow Squad Tour to the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis on Tuesday the 28th of May. The roster boasts a deep lineup with support from the like of Beau Young Prince, Rico Havoc and CRAM. Tickets can still be purchased here.
