Have you been wanting to get away from the Twin Cities one last time before the snow hits. Well, it’s not that far away but it’s a brilliant day trip for one last hoorah before the dreaded Old Man Winter hits. Twin Cities based metal band Buried Above Ground will be hitting the stage at The Red Carpet Club in St. Cloud on Saturday, October 21st as support for nationally touring act Born of Osiris. This is sure to be heavy hitting show complete with great music, good times, and amazing people. Buried Above Ground is easily one of my favorite local metal bands around these days. They are hard working boys that have never forgotten their roots even when doing short stints like this one with Born of Osiris and one with Behemoth a couple months ago. Their music is heavy, their stage show is intense– it’s absolutely everything you could ask for in a metal band. BAG recently released their music video for ‘Serpent’ and it has easily shot them onto a national platform. Although they never have and never will forget their roots, time is running out to catch these guys at intimate “local” shows so don’t miss your chance!

As I mentioned, the show will be headlined by Chicago based metalcore band Born of Osiris. If you haven’t seen this extreme band live, you’re missing out. They have a light show that will leave you blind and a sound that will leave your ears ringing for days. Although they are extreme and heavy, they have a very clean sound that showcases the talent that is needed for this genre of music.
Local acts MyNorth and At Autumns Edge will be kicking off the early afternoon show.
Doors are at 2 with music at 2:30 so you’ll still have plenty of time to go out and hang out after the show. Grab some friends and come spend the afternoon in St. Cloud with me and all of my friends. I promise you’ll have a great time!
