The North American tour of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical resumed performances beginning in November in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The production will visit more than 40 cities, including 8 shows at the Ordway in St. Paul beginning on December 28th. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this uplifting musical.

Her songs broke every record. Her story broke every barrier. She was a girl from Boston with a voice from heaven, who shot through the stars from gospel choir to dance floor diva. But what the world didn’t know was how Donna Summer risked it all to break through barriers, becoming the icon of an era and the inspiration for every music diva who followed. With a score featuring more than 20 of Summer’s classic hits including “Love to Love You Baby,” “Bad Girls” and “Hot Stuff,” this electric experience is a moving tribute to the voice of a generation.

Born LaDonna Adrian Gaines, Donna Summer — also known as “The Queen of Disco” and “The First Lady of Love” — was a singer, songwriter and actress most popular for her dance music in the ‘70s and ‘80s. During her career, Donna sold 140 Million records, won 1 Oscar Award and won 5 Grammy Awards (nominated for 18 Grammy Awards) in four different genres: rock, dance, R&B and inspirational.
