Baltimore-based singer, songwriter, and guitar prodigy Snail Mail, the moniker of 20-year-old Lindsey Jordan, has re-issued its breakout EP, Habit, available now digitally, with the physical version coming out on August 30th. The re-mastered EP contains its six original songs, including fan-favorite single, “Thinning,” as well as Snail Mail’s cover of Courtney Love’s “The 2nd Most Beautiful Girl In The World,” an alternative version of which was previously only available as an Amazon exclusive. Habit was Matador Records’ introduction to Jordan’s standout vocals, lyrics, technical skills, and compositions that led to their signing of Snail Mail, right around her 18th birthday in 2017.
Since Lush’s release last year, Jordan’s music was the soundtrack to Anna Sui’s Fall 2019 fashion show, she’s been interviewed by Nardwuar, was the subject of a FADER mini-documentary, landed a New York Times Arts Section feature, befriended Liz Phair for a Pitchfork story, made her late night debut on Last Call with Carson Daly, and counts both JPEGMAFIA and Finn Wolfhard as fans. Never one to slow down, Snail Mail will embark on a lengthy North American tour this summer, headlining some of the biggest venues that it has played to date.
Snail Mail will headline First Avenue’s Mainroom on Monday, July 15th. Tickets are $20 and still available HERE. Be sure to grab yours today as these tickets are moving fast.
