In the 90s Rolling Stone described Luna as “the best band you’ve never heard of” and fans rejoiced when news of of them reuniting after a 10 year break came in 2015. Headed by original band members Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips they just released a new album “A Sentimental Education,”. With the album comes a tour that will start at The Cedar Cultural Center on 11/1. Tickets are still available HERE
Supporting them will be Soccer Mommy, the stage name of twenty-year-old Nashville native, NYU student and musical wunderkind Sophie Allison. She has built a reputation as an incredibly exciting DIY artist, recording her own songs and releasing them for free on Bandcamp over the last few years. She just released a mini-album called “Collection”, comprised of reworked versions of older tracks as well as a few new songs written, mixed and produced by Sophie herself.
