Foxygen and Gabriella Cohen will play First Avenue on 4/2

Foxygen released their fourth studio album “Hang” in January and is currently on tour promoting it. That tour will bring them to First Avenue’s Mainroom on April 2 with Aussie rocker Gabriella Cohen. Tickets are still available HERE

The duo’s new album features a 40-piece orchestra arranged and conducted by Trey Pollard of local label Spacebomb Records. Pollard’s creative partner, Richmond musician and producer Matthew E. White, did additional arranging.

During Foxygen’s live performances — they are known for their sometimes unhinged stage mannerisms — France and Rado are backed by a band that includes several musicians from Richmond, including bassist Cameron Ralston.

Opener Gabriella Cohen came to our attention as the frontwoman for The Furrs. She just released her first solo album “Full Closure And No Details” a few weeks ago. She is definitely someone you should get to First Ave early for.
