Find Your Zen: Iration’s Zen Island Tour Coming To First Ave 5/10

Come chill out on Tuesday, May 10th at First Avenue with Iration as their Zen Island Tour swings through town!

Iration is an alternative/reggae group of musicians formed in Isla Vista, CA. A deep-rooted reggae influence is fused with elements of rock and pop to create smooth original sounds – “We’re all about luv”, states the band. The group is made up of members Joseph Dickens (Drums), Joseph King (Engineer), Cayson Peterson (Keyboard/Synth), Micah Pueschel (Guitar/Lead Vocals), Adam Taylor (Bass), and Micah Brown (Guitar/Vocals).

All of the members of Iration met while growing up in Hawaii but formed the band after reconnecting in Santa Barbara, CA – the exception being Micah Brown who officially joined the group in 2014. Iration has been touring nationally since 2008, performing at national festivals like Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Hangout, and many others. These Hawaiian-bred musicians look forward to spreading their original sound and Aloha spirit all the while never forgetting to get a surf in when possible.

Make sure to get there early because both Tropidelic and Kash’d Out are opening and both of these bands are just so stinkin’ fun to see live!

Tropidelic: The six-piece band from Cleveland, Ohio may be far from any tropical islands, but that doesn’t stop them from dishing out an interesting mix of reggae, hip-hop, and high-energy funk for audiences across the country. Unapologetically original, Tropidelic has a deep and widespread appreciation for music that can be heard in each note. Some of the members are hip-hop heads, while others are into metal, funk, or reggae. Each of these genres lends something to their collective sound. “We pride ourselves in being original in our musicality and personality as a band,” says Roads, “but also in not taking ourselves so seriously that it ruins the fun.”

Kash’d Out: Straight out of Orlando, FL, Kash’d Out has been hitting the Reggae/Rock scene in full force since dropping their debut album in 2017, The Hookup. It officially put them on the map and threw them into touring the nation regularly with bands like The Expendables, Passafire, Ballyhoo!, and more. The Hookup with its catchy hooks and sing-along choruses resonated with fans across the country who have come out and supported the band in droves.
