Still Woozy will be bringing his If This Isn’t Nice Tour to the First Avenue Mainroom on Tuesday, February 22nd and you don’t want to miss it!

Sven Gamsky aka Still Woozy grew up in the Bay Area and began playing guitar as a little kid. By middle school he’d started writing his own songs, and later honed his guitar skills by playing in a math-rock band. After further developing his musicality by studying classical guitar and electronic music at UC Santa Cruz, he released his debut EP Lately in 2019. Featuring collaborations with Omar Apollo, the self-recorded five-song project includes singles like “Habit” (a track that’s now amassed over 113 million streams on Spotify). Over the years, Still Woozy has taken the stage at major festivals like Coachella, Governor’s Ball, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, in addition to completing a sold-out North American headlining tour. Still Woozy will release his debut album, If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is, via Woozy Productions/Interscope Records on August 13, 2021.

23-year-old Wallice (who will be opening up the show) began writing songs in middle school, contemplating secret crushes over instruments she learned to play in the school band, and armed with her trusty iPod maxed out by Weezer, Black Eyed Peas, Radiohead, and Lana Del Rey. With Adrienne Lenker, Vampire Weekend, Men I Trust, and The Drums on her current high-rotation, elements of both her past and present influences distill in Wallice’s sound — which feels sweet and nostalgic with a rowdy edge. Wallice’s distinct and emotive voice led her to the New School’s Jazz Vocal Performance program in New York City. After a year, she decided to pack her bags and head back home to California to focus on her own music. Wallice linked back up with her childhood friend marinelli, who helped her develop a clearer direction for her voice and style. Starting with the release of her debut single “Punching Bag” in late 2020, Wallice has quickly become known for blending bedroom pop with the energy and ethos of indie rock. Her unapologetic, funny and often self-deprecating lyrics have seen her tracks embraced as hyper-relatable Gen-Z anthems, with her forthcoming EP promising many more to come.
