I feel like it’s been some time since I’ve seen a fully local metal line-up at The 7th Street Entry so I am stoked for Friday, January 6th which features three AMAZING local metal acts! On a sad note this will be Coffin Rite’s final show as a band.
Coffin Rites is an amazing local band with a sound that can be compared to many metal greats such as Carcass, Goatwhore, and Rotting Christ. Their live show is absolutely explosive and full of energy and power. It’s truly a sight to be seen and a sound to be heard and I can’t wait to see how they pull off their power in such an intimate space.
Playing second on the 6th will be Grand Demise of Civilization. Grand Demise of Civilization is a blend of black metal and melodic compositions, with no true lead vocalist, but all three musicians up front share all vocal duties, switching lead parts during songs and doing triple vocal effects live, giving their own take on an aggressive metal brand called Hell Metal.
Kicking the night off will be Worn Mantle. Worn Mantle has a sound that can only be described as noise engorged blackened death metal. Inhospitable soundscapes, ecstatic pulsations… if that doesn’t get your attention then I don’t know what will.
