With eerie lights and ghastly fog, Beartooth created a dystopian underworld in a packed Fillmore Minneapolis Friday night. Out on the road showcasing their latest release Below, it was truly a night to remember.

Opening act Wage War warmed up the crowd with a rocking set. Riff driven tunes were hard and heavy, with pounding drums from Stephen Kluesener. From the very first power chord, frontman Briton Bond was a head banging intensity machine. The band embraces their Ocala roots, their set was dark, massive rock. “Circle The Drain” was a highlight of the set. The rowdy crowd welcomed the sonic assault, and sang along with many of the tunes. They were an excellent choice to support Beartooth.

The lights went down and the fog grew right before the energy filled onslaught know as Beartooth exploded with sound and light. Opening with the title cut from their latest release, the band fiercely commanded the stage. Frontman Caleb Shomo  aggressively belted out tune after tune, and strapped on a six string for “The Last Riff”, the shows final song. Bassist Oshie Bichar added a razors edge to Shomo’s vocals. The guys dropped some tunes off of Disgusting too, breaking out “Body Bag” and “Beaten In Lips” for the fans.

Beartooth had the packed Fillmore chanting along with their infectious chorus’s, solidifying the fact that live music is rising from the ashes and not condemned to the nether world.
