If you’ve been struggling to take care of your lawn this summer, don’t worry, Ashnikko will be bringing her sold out Weedkiller tour to the Fillmore on Friday, September 15 and I, personally, have been waiting for this day for years.
Ashnikko is a singer/rapper/songwriter who has been making waves on the internet (especially TikTok) with hits like “Stupid” and “Daisy” and most recently “Cheerleader,” a single off of her debut album Weedkiller. Which just came out a few days ago by the way, celebrated with a surprise set at Reading and Leeds in the UK.
The electropop artist has been releasing music since 2017 and has maintained her distinct sound while making her way into stardom. She’s worked with many notable artists including Doja Cat, Yung Baby Tate, Grimes, and more. She definitely knows how to make a bop that really gets you thinking about what it’s like to be a queer person.
Ashnikko is blessing us all by bringing Weedkiller to life here in Minneapolis. I have no doubt that this show is going to be one to remember.
