2CELLOS released their new album, “Let There Be Cello”, in October of 2018 under label “Sony Music Masterworks”. With their tour just starting as of February 5th in Seattle, WA, the group is eager to see their fans once again with a collection of latest pop hits and never-before-heard original compositions.
Of the new album, Sulic and Hauser say, “We’ve always said we want to break down pre-conceptions about the cello and the boundaries around musical genres. This album demonstrates that. We take inspiration from all sources, from pop smashes to timeless classical music, from classic rock through to our love of film music. This album has the lot – including some 2CELLOS originals. There are no rules, just let there be cello!”
Their tour promoting the new album will be at Target Center on 2/20. Tickets are still available for this evening HERE. I had the opportunity to see this group the last time they were in town, and it was an experience that will definitely keep me coming back time and time again.
