Tyler Childers brings a taste of Kentucky to Minneapolis at First Avenue on November 3rd

Tyler Childers returns to the Twin Cities on November 3rd with his guitar in hand, Kentucky bluegrass and folk in his sound, the Appalachian Mountains in mind. Since his first album was released in 2011, Bottles and Bibles, the Kentucky native has been steadily building a following and a strong reputation. Although Bottles was his first album, many argue that his break-through came with Purgatory, his 2017 album that was produced by the likes of Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson. Inevitably, Tyler went on to earn the Emerging Artist of the Year award from the Americana Music Honors and Awards. Most recently, Childers has released a new album, Country Squire, in August of this year which features key songs such as the soulful jam “House Fire” and the pleasant “All Your’n.”

Alongside Tyler will be Phoenix, Arizona native Courtney Marie Andrews. Andrews has illustrated her Americana/Indie Pop vibe through several albums in the past decade, most recently lead by May Your Kindness Remain from 2018. Something cool to note about these two artists coming together is that they were BOTH in contention for the award described above and received by Childers in ’18- in other words, these two revered artists will be bringing together their unique sounds for one heck of a night in Minneapolis.
