Looking for a way to spice up your summer evening? How about an outdoor concert with the world-renowned Goo Goo Dolls at the Hilde Performance Center in Plymouth? The Goo Goo Dolls will be swinging by the Twin Cities on Saturday, July 29th as part of their massive Long Way Home Tour. The Goo Goo Dolls are supported on tour by Phillip Phillips.
In case you’ve lived under a rock for the past two decades – The Goo Goo Dolls are known for their smash hits Slide, Iris, Name and numerous others since getting their start in 1986. The Goo Goo Dolls have undoubtedly had a major influence on pop music over the years. Furthermore, The Goo Goo Dolls are truly one of those unicorns in pop music that have stayed relevant across decades and for many different audiences. As a child of the 90s, some of my earliest musical memories are listening to A Boy Named Goo & Dizzy Up The Girl on my parents stereo. More recently, I’ve fallen in love with their 2017 EP You Should Be Happy, which rocks with that same Americana feel of their albums from nearly two decades ago, but with a maturity and freshness.
