When we say musical nomad, we’re not referring to his music, but the actual lifestyle of Larsen. These days, Larsen lives out of a suitcase, following whatever path life may take him on. And currently that is a slew of U.S. Tour Dates. After wrapping up his U.S. tour in New York – he’ll be off to Europe for dates that will keep him booked long into November. There really is something admirable about the life that Larsen lives. According to his Bandcamp, “STU LARSEN has no home. Three years ago he made a decision to leave behind normality, security and comfort, choosing to live as simply as possible and to follow the opportunities that lay themselves down in front of him. It really is that easy.” I think we all have days where we wish we could pack up and live the nomadic life – away from the monotony of work, life and routine.
In addition to his wild-west, life on the road spirit, Larsen is a truly prolific songwriter. His poetic lyrics remincent of the greats Bob Dylan and the like draw you in. His music is a slow burn, the more you listen, the more you fall in love. Larsen takes the occassional break from life on the road to hole up in a farmhouse or apartment to work on his record.
