So many great things come in pairs- chocolate and peanut butter, cheese and meat, jelly and toast, but nothing is like the dynamic duo of Chicago-based DJ duo Louis the Child. Robby Hauldren and Frederic Kennett will be live at the Armory on November 27th with all of their hits like “Better Not,” “It’s Strange,” “Weekend,” and so many more. These two have released 3 albums, with their most recent being Kids at Play which was dropped in 2018. Most recently, their single “Too Close” was released this year and came in the US Dance Top 50 on the Charts. Their sound has been described as “electronic” as well as something I’ve never heard of – “future bass.” Since 2013, this group has been producing fantastic hits and luckily for us they will not be hitting the Twin Cities alone.
Joining Louis will be Duckwrth and John the Blind. Duckwrth reigns from LA and has become a well-respected West Coast rapper and songwriter. His sole studio album came out in 2016 titled I’m Uugly, and is joined by an EP (The Falling Man) and even a mixtape that he dropped in 2017 titled An Xtra Uugly Mixtape. This guy might have some self-deprecating titles, but his cartoon-inspired music is worth checking out – literally, his duo performance with Shaboozey on “Start a Riot” was featured on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. John the Blind is a growing artist from Rochester, NY. Otherwise known by his birth-given name John Ryan, the man is known for his use of a wide variety of instruments and writing ability, most recently and most notably known for helping write and produce the majority of One Direction’s albums and singles. As a whole, this pop artist has supposedly contributed to over 30 million sold compositions and productions world-wide.
Don’t miss out on the Here For Now Tour this November 27th at the Armory – we are in for a special treat! Tickets are still available HERE and check out a hot hit below:
