Justin Townes Earle, son of famed Steve Earle, is making a stop at First Avenue on Tuesday, May 23rd. Hailing from Nashville, TN, Justin is a bit of a legend in the alt-country/ Americana scene. With six albums out and a new one due out yet this month (Kids in the Street will be Justin’s debut on New West Records), Justin has been a staple in the scene since he started nearly a decade ago. It seems as if this guy doesn’t know how to slow down as he is constantly touring and thrilling audiences all over the place. His music is diverse while still keeping a common thread of pure creativity throughout it. Some of his songs lean more towards the old-school country world whereas other songs almost have a punk feel and attitude. This diversity is sure to keep the night interesting and more than worth your time!
Canadian alt-country group The Sadies and youngster Sammy Brue from Utah will be opening the show.
