Chad Valley will be performing at the 7th Street Entry on Thursday, June 21st. Born from Oxford’s famously close-knit artistic community, Chad Valley’s musical ambition has always stretched beyond the context of its creation. The thoroughly modern pop producer is one of the label’s earliest and longest-standing members, having released two EPs and two albums to date, with a third on the way for fall 2017. Big in sound and rich in construct, Chad Valley’s material continues to win him fans all over the world. Coupled with a stunning live set and one of the strongest voices in modern music, this young man’s talent is undeniable.
Deep Love will be opening for Chad. In 2003, a 17-year-old Jacob Gossel (Deep Love), started making bedroom recordings in North Branch, Minnesota on an old second-hand PC. Fifteen years later Jacob coined the moniker Deep Love. Now based in Minneapolis, MN, Jacob wrote, recorded, performed, and mixed, his debut Deep Love album Wild Dreams.
Kicking the night off will be local group Iceblind. Iceblink is a Minneapolis band exploring the sounds of outsider pop, italian film score, radiophonics, hauntology, and experimental electronics.
