The California-based hip hop collective Brockhampton is stopping in Minnesota in Tuesday, October 30th on their ‘I’ll Be There’ tour. Fresh off of their major-label debut, Iridescence, the 14-person conglomerate has had a busy year. In May, they kicked out founding member Ameer Vann after allegations of sexual, mental and physical abuse. Four months later, Iridescence was released and debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200, and received great acclaim from Metacritic, HipHopDX and the AV Club. Neil Z. Yeung from AllMusic writes, “very much a product of their time, Brockhampton absorbs what they need from across genres, sharing honest confessions from their varied personal backgrounds (the most striking provided by group leader Kevin Abstract) and reflecting its mixed audience as a voice of their generation. Brockhampton have seized upon this defining moment with Iridescence, a defining peak in their young career.”
