DEVO Coming To Palace Theater 11/15!

Oh la la, DEVO is coming to Minnesota! Formally scheduled in June, the Palace Theater welcomes the brilliant band DEVO November 15!

Innovative and creative when describing these epic legends is putting it lightly. Meeting back in 1973 in art school of course, bass guitarist Gerald Casale and guitarist Mark Mothersbaugh thrust into existence DEVO. Their name is actually from their concept of "de-evolution," and the motif has continues to be a fruitful bounty throughout their 50 years rocking and rolling…and beeping and booping. Synthing...and…well…you get the picture.

Falling in love with them a bit past their start, I had a choice 8-Track player growing up in the 90s, which was frequently haunted by many DEVO jams. Shoutout to my dad for letting my 6th grade self have his delicious assortment, pretty sure I was one of the only eleven year olds rocking out to the album “Freedom of Choice.” Not to be left in the last millenia, their 2010 “Something For Everyone” is hit after hit and a must-listen.

This Saturday evening 18+ show opens up at 6:30pm, music starting at 8:00pm.
