A Saturday Night Kind of Pink: Houndmouth Rocked Minneapolis Show

Houndmouth’s performance at the Uptown Theatre this saturday was nothing short of incredible!

From the moment they hit the stage, the band’s signature blend of indie rock, folk, and blues had the crowd energized and fully immersed in the music. Their laid back texan vibes carried through the evening and warmed the crowd.  Their harmonies were tight, and each member’s individual skill shone through, creating a seamless sound that was both rich and dynamic. They kicked things off with crowd favorites and mixed tons of their old beloved album with the new favorites.

The Uptown Theatre’s intimate setting made the night feel personal, as if the band was playing just for you. The theatre was packed with dancing fans enjoying each song.

The setlist was a perfect mix of fan favorites and new tracks that showcased their evolution as a band. Songs like "Sedona" and "My Cousin Greg" were met with loud cheers, while the newer material hinted at an exciting direction for their future sound. The crowd was super engaged, singing along and soaking in every moment, and the band’s energy matched the audience's enthusiasm.

Before Houndmouth took the stage, Susto, the opener, set the tone with a captivating set of their own. The Charleston-based band brought a unique blend of indie rock and southern charm, warming up the crowd with their sweet melodies and engaging stage presence. Their performance felt like a perfect build-up to the headliner, and the crowd seemed to appreciate their folk-tinged vibe.

The show also had a great flow, with Houndmouth effortlessly shifting between laid-back, soulful tracks and more upbeat, foot-tapping anthems. It was clear they were enjoying themselves on stage, and that energy radiated out to the audience. If you’re a fan of Houndmouth or just enjoy solid live performances, this show was a dope one to catch this weekend. Great way to kick off the Spring!
