Multi-talented Brit phenom Yola finally makes it back to the Twin Cities. This show is re-scheduled from February 23. All original tickets will be honored or can be refunded. Tickets and details can be found HERE
Once a generation, a fresh talent takes the world by storm. That might be Yola. Much has transpired, not only in her rather brief and meteoric music career, but just in the last six months. Those of us planning to see the original date knew all about the 6 out of the gate Grammy nominations. We stood up and noticed when she showed some whole new facets in her follow up Stand For Myself. Now she’s on the big screen playing the legendary Sister Rosetta Tharpe in the Elvis blockbuster.
Everything you read about Yola points to one thing. She’s more than just an Americana singer or soul singer or a Dan Auerbach seasoned rocker. Or even a Hollywood actress. She’s simply one of those intense talents that comes along so infrequently. You wonder: what’s next?
For any on the fence, keep in mind that she blasted onto the scene based on some of legendary stages like Newport and SXSW. So expect some fine vibes in the Mainroom.
