Off all the YouTube music sensations that have come and gone over the years Canadian Group Walk off the Earth has proven the one with the most staying power. Constantly evolving, their covers and original songs document their growth. They are also quite the musicians and performers. Playing a packed Varsity Theater (that sold out within days of the show being announced) WOTE, as they are known to their fans (referred to as WOTElings) showed their skill in live shows that have filled larger venues.

WOTE is promoting their upcoming album “Sing it all away”, releasing in June the bad and a WOTE baby, releasing as soon as Sarah is ready. The stage was packed with band members, instruments (several per band member) and gadgets. WOTE opened in dramatic fashion with all of them centered on stage around a group of drums. This lead to one of their first original songs “Gang of Rhythm” and a well executed cover of Pharell’s “Happy”. The WOTElings were clearly enjoying the show with pretty much everyone singing along. The gimmicks (including the now famous giant guitar played by 5 band members) did not distract from the music.
