Saturday night is looking good at The What’s Up Lounge! The second of the two shows this weekend features Throw The Fight, City of the Weak, and Diskord. This is another show presented by 95.7 The Rock Station and needless to say, expect The What’s Up to be packed for this show! Be sure to follow the link below to get your tickets!
Since arriving on the scene, Throw the Fight, who are based in Minneapolis, have embarked on plenty of national touring. They’ve supported Bullet For My Valentine and Black Veil Brides on the 2013 Monster Energy Outbreak Tour, which traversed major markets for six weeks in the U.S. and Canada. The band released its new album Transmissions via Bullet Tooth on April 8, 2016.

City of the Weak captures a modern rock ‘n roll sound that is so perfectly defined, combining catchy pop melodies with rhythmic riffs and moving bass lines to create a genre of their own. They are best known for their intensity on stage, as well as their big personalities off the stage. Their first full-length album, produced by Craig Owens, will be available in 2017, accompanied by main stage performances at Rock USA & Rock Fest Cadott in July. Like Muen Magazine said, “City of the Weak is going to be a band to look out for in 2017 and beyond,” and you’re damn right they are.

Diskord has been slowly ramping up their live shows ever since returning to the Mankato music scene. I’ve covered most of, if not all, of their shows since they started playing again. Looking ahead in the coming year, they have been busy booking shows and it looks like everyone will have their chance to see them live again!
