Matt Wilson and John Munson have been playing music together off and on for about twenty years. They started tasted some success with their psychedelic, and flowery pop band Trip Shakespeare, which also featured Matt’s brother Dan (who went on to form Semisonic with John, charting a hit with the song “Closing Time”) and Elaine Harris. During the most of the nineties they tried to stay out of one another’s hair but then as the decade came to a close they formed up again as The Flops, a folk duo which led them to realize that volume was their friend and they should start a rock band again: thus, The Twilight Hours.

They have been working on their second album “Black Beauty” and will be releasing it with 2 shows this weekend.
Friday 7/15 at the Turf Club – Tickets
Saturday 7/16 at the Entry – Tickets

Judging by what we have heard of the album so far, this should be two very cool shows by two of the pillars of the Minnesota music scene
