The Temperance Movement at First Avenue 2/27/15

Turns out, Brits can play Southern Rock – who would have thought? British band The Temperance Movement opened for Blackberry Smoke at First Avenue this week.  Formed in 2011 in London they have had some nice success and have opened for the Rolling Stones in Berlin.  Singer Phil Campell was born in Glasgow but sound like a good ole boy on stage. He has a rather energetic stage presence and whoever coined the phrase “Dance like nobody is watching” must have seen him perform. A wild mix of whirling dervish and Ed Grimley he manages to make it look cool.

TTM delivered a strong set to an almost full house. For some interesting reading, check out their blog with their tour experiences in the US thetemperancemovement.com/latest-news/
