Are you too young to have been able to catch Nirvana live? Me too. But I have the next best thing for you. The Meat Puppets will be taking over the Cabooze stage on Thursday, May 4th and bringing their unique branch of grungy psychedelic rock with them. The Meat Puppets are probably most notable for the fact that their guitarist and bassist served as guest musicians on Nirvana’s infamous MTV Unplugged performance but don’t let that single moment of fame distract you from the true talent that these guys have. Having been around since the 1980’s and even with a couple breaks here and there, The Meat Puppets have truly stood the test of time and being able to see them in a spot as intimate as The Cabooze will truly be a treat.
Mike Watt + The Tom and Jerry Show and Porcupine will all be opening the show. It’s sure to be a long and great night of music so don’t miss out!
