The Gambler’s Daughter’s debut self-titled release is about to hit the streets. Musician and Lead Vocalist Jessa Roquet, the daughter of musicians who blossomed in the mid 60’s Twin Cities folk scene, has flourished in a family culture of tight harmonies, storytelling, and guitars. Since the days of being hauled from gig to gig in the family station wagon, Jessa has built a musical treasure chest of her own. The Gambler’s Daughter debut EP highlights the breadth of Roquet’s musical poetry, painting stories from the interpersonal to the ethereal. Her music blends her poetic lyricism with a rich heritage in folk music, heartfelt rock, and a touch of soulful blues.
