One of the coolest thing in the music scene is how many bands that split up in the 80s and 90s discover how much fun they had, re-unite and start touring again. One such band is The Beat, know in the US as The English Beat. n 2003 the English Beat reunited for one special show at Royal Festival Hall. Invigorated by the show’s success, guitarist/vocalist Dave Wakeling re-assembled a touring version of the English Beat. While the band has been dedicated to keeping the music of the early English Beat records alive. Not content with playing old songs, they just release a new album “Here We Go Love”.
They will be at the Dakota Jazz Club on Friday 5/13 and Saturday 5/14. Tickets are still available HERE
