The Carnegies Video Release Show November 28th At The Entry

The Carnegies will be celebrating the video release of “In The Night” the first track recorded by the band since Danny Mars replaced young guitar phenom Owen Hiber. Twin brothers Royce and Roman Mars front the band. Royce handles lead vocals and guitar while Roman is the bass player. Brandon Cox on drums and Danny Mars on rhythm guitar round out the four-piece. The Carnegies are about REAL, authentic music that today’s modern generation has seemed to have forgotten. Driven off of a raw, overdrived power, we are about carrying on the classic music of garage rock such as “The Rolling Stones”, “The Jimi Hendrix Experience” to “Cream” , and “The Yardbirds”, and along with all the other Blues/Psych Rock bands back in time. They also look the part with Royce and Roman sporting twin-bowl cuts and ’60s outfits. They continue on in memory of Taylor Tolle, founding member of The Carnegies, who died in a car crash in 2016. The band released their debut album No Signs of Warning in early 2018.  The Carnegies have been selected to perform in First Avenue’s upcoming Best New Bands of 2018 Show on January 4, 2019.

The two opening acts, Seafarer and Maple Sun, each play drastically different styles of music than The Carnegies, so it should make for an interesting show.

Seafarer is a Twin Cities band playing music with spacey sounds, psych rock, and tight beats. If you want to classify their musical genre, how about Psychedelic Space Rock. The band is comprised of Patrick Schiavone (guitar, vocals, synth), Bill Bruss (guitar, synth), Jesse Bruflodt (drums), and Calvin Keyes (synth, vocals). Seafarer’s debut EP was released in May 2017. They are currently writing a follow up to the debut and playing local shows.

Maple Sun is a hard rock band based in the Twin Cities. The band seeks to deliver a powerful and gripping sound that’ll get the heart pumping. Band Members are John Dowling, Brad Adrian, Jacob Fulton, and Luke Brainard.
