One sign in held up on the crowd at last year’s X Games sums it up quite Nicely: “Uff Da, Brah!”. The athletes and ESPN must have enjoyed themselves, because the X Games are back for 2018 rolling into town next week from July 19 – 22. Just look at their FAQ: “WHY? Because Minneapolis is awesome!”
This year they have a new venue for music: The Armory! Just a couple of blocks from US Bank Stadium the freshly renovated armory has quickly become one of our favorite venues. Here’s the music schedule
- Thu 7/19 – X Games 2018 Kickoff Party, with Prof, Cashinova, and Sa-Roc at First Avenue
- Fri 7/20 – Kaskade at The Armory
- Sat 7/21 – Ice Cube with Brother Ali at The Armory
- Sun 7/22 – Zedd at The Armory
Of course the X Games are first and foremost about sports and the schedule for Minneapolis is impressive. Skateboarding, BMX and Moto X will see a variety of competitions and many of the best competitors in those sports will be there. Check out the detailed schedule HERE
Tickets are still available at the X Games Site with a range of options to suit pretty much every budget. Options include the posh Platinum Lounge and getting close to the action with Competition Floor Access.
