Sacramento California natives Tesla Packed the Myth Friday evening. Tesla was formed in 1981 and have toured the world several times over. Tesla just released their fourteenth Album “Shock” in early 2019. Tesla is out touring the Country promoting their latest release “Shock”. “Shock” has the amazing Tesla sound with a little bit of blues and in your face ROCK. I have been a fan of Tesla since I was a kid in High school. The fans poured into the Myth with excitement.

Dokken opened the concert and blew away the fans with Rock music. Don Dokken has aged a bit but his vocals were spot on. Dokken was formed in Los Angeles in 1979. They have released several hits throughout the years like “Alone Again” and “In My Dreams”. The opened their set with “Don’t Close Your Eyes”. The fans instantly went into ROCK mode. They played a eleven song set including hits “Too High”,”Alone Again”,”Into The Fire”. They closed the set with song “In My Dreams”. Dokken left the stage with the fans cheering for more.

The lights went down and the wait was almost over for Tesla to take the stage. The excitement was building in the crowd. The lights came up slow to Dave Rude and Frank Hannon playing a guitar jam prelude to song “Comin Atcha Live”. When Jeff Keith came out, the fans went crazy. Jeff’s vocals are still amazing after all of the years. Tesla played hit after hit not letting the fans relax. Their set included songs “Modern Day Cowboy”,”Be a Man”,”Miles Away’,”Breaking Free”,”Shock” and my favorite “Love Song”. Brian Wheat was so entertaining to watch as his Bass just thundered. Troy Luccketta was relentless on the drums. Tesla closed their set with “Little Susie” and “signs”.  Tesla again blew me away with their sheer talent and ageless stage presence.
