The name Rostam might not jump off the screen at you, but there’s a very good chance that you’re familiar with his other project, a little band called Vampire Weekend. He’s also worked a few other names you might recognize including Haim, Solange, Frank Ocean, Charli XCX and Santigold. Though Rostam might be best known for his work with VW, he’s been making major waves with his solo project and the release of his debut solo album entitled Half-Light. Rostam wrote, produced and performed the fifteen songs on the kaleidoscopic debut in his Los Angeles home studio.
“If you’ve never seen me perform, it’s always with strings—usually a string quartet—, live percussion, and video projections,” says Rostam. “I’m so psyched to see you out there on the road in January, February, and throughout 2018” (via MOTORMOUTHMEDIA).
