One thing New Year celebrations in the Twin Cities have been missing is an over the top event that is common in cities were “Death by Frostbite” is not risk associated with welcoming the next year in style. If the Organizers behind SNOWTA NYE have their way, it will be that kind of mind-blowing event many have been looking for.
Just the logistics seem next level. Instead of one of the traditional venues SNOWTA NYE will take over the Minneapolis Convention Center hosting 3 stages in 3 rooms and a VIP lounge. It’s SNOWTA NYE’s first year but the organizers behind it are an experienced team. So, when they promise an unique event, expectations will be high:
SNOWTA NYE will forever change the way Minnesota celebrates New Year’s Eve. This is the debut of a revolutionary festival / concert hybrid experience.
We’re combining a worldwide musical line-up along with the best of the Minneapolis music scene. Walk into a wonderland on December 31st as we transform the Minneapolis Convention Center into our own playground of music, amusement rides, art galleries, skateboard competitions and imagination!
The Lineup certainly looks great – Big Gigantic, Tipper, Infected Mushroom (DJ Set), Waka Flocka Flame, Prof and a ton of others. There will be an indoor skate park set up by 3rd Lair, interactive art galleries and somehow, they are going to squeeze a Ferris Wheel into the Convention Center.
