The band Royel Otis is a popular name among the youthful scene in recent times. Gaining a lot of popularity recently on social media, this band has flown to stardom with banger after banger of song releases. After completing a very successful tour, the band is hitting the road again with a new album Pratts & Pain in 2024. They are making a stop at our very own First Avenue main room Sunday, September 15th.
Joining them on this tour is Friko, a duo from the Chicago music scene. Their sounds are a variety, but mainly rooted in 2000s indie, a style that has recently made quite the comeback. Their new album Where we’ve been, Where we go from here features many different musical styles, with the band stating their main inspiration was Mewithoutyou, Mitski, and The Beach Boys.
