Early 2000’s emo kids rejoice– Rookie of the Year is playing at The Triple Rock on Wednesday, April 26th. Rookie of the Year started out as a solo project for Ryan Dunson but quickly turned into a band that instantly gained a cult following of sorts. Although the touring members of the band seem to change frequently, Ryan Dunson and his passion for what he does has not faltered through all of these years. The fact that over ten years after releasing his breakthrough album “Having to Let Go” Ryan is still rocking and doing his thing is beyond admirable. Since that fateful recording that truly put Rookie of the Year on the map, Ryan has forged ahead releasing an additional four albums full of the same passion and emotionally charged lyrics that “Having To Let Go” had. To be able to see band that has stuck with it through all of these years and, although they stayed true to their roots, have matured alongside their music is definitely a reason to get excited for this show!

Opening up the night will be City Under Siege (Buffalo, NY), Brighter Poet, and The Autumn After.

Tickets are still available here!
