We all know that opposite genres like country and rock can successfully blend into music that seems to appeal to music fans. But what really happens if we extend our reach to the edges of those genres? Fan or not, there is no denying the eccentric mix and blend of the sound.

Plant and Krauss are hitting the road once again with a full band in a dual headlining tour that spans across North America. The Can’t Let Go Tour 2024 includes a stop at the Mystic Amphitheater on June 7, 2022.

Enter Robert Plant, the frontman of the legendary ‘70s band Led Zeppelin, and Alison Krauss, the multi-Grammy-winning queen of bluegrass. When these two power houses joined forces to make a record, its success seemed uncertain. There were concerns that this experimental project would take off and possibly crash like a lead balloon. Any concerns were quickly put to rest, as their combined talents quickly rose to new heights. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ 2007 collaborative album ‘Raising Sand’ remains, nearly a decade and a half after its release, a landmark record in roots music. In November 2021, the dynamic duo released the much-anticipated follow-up album ‘Raise The Roof’. This blend of traditions and styles extends this remarkable collaboration in new and thrilling directions. The album reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Rock, Americana/Folk, Bluegrass and Independent charts.

Plant and Krauss are musical masters in their respective genres, styles that are both anchored in American roots. Led Zeppelin emerged from the blues, albeit in an electrified and somewhat psychedelic format. Krauss’s bluegrass, meanwhile, blended country and traditional Appalachian old-time folk music.

Don’t miss this roof-raising (OK, it’s an outdoor amphitheater) master class of a concert to see these two musical icons come together to perform some great Americana classics and (fingers-crossed) rock out to some legendary Led Zeppelin favorites as an added bonus.

This show is SOLD OUT!
