Thursday night saw 4 acts playing a lightly attended Mill City Nights. I am not sure what kept people at home as it turned out to be a pretty entertaining evening.
Opening the evening as Portland’s Pink Feathers. According to their website: “Delicate and divine, Pink Feathers (aka Liz Anjos) is the Hepburn of indie pop.” They play what they refer to as “Eccentric Oregon Pop”. Their set was lively and a good start.
Next up was Filous, who made a name for himself with remixes that have been picked up by many artists including Tove Lo. This was the first tour for the 18 year old from Vienna, Austria.
It’s been about a year since we covered Big Data at First Avenue and their live performance has become quite crisp and good. Opening with a re-mix of “Dangerous” they drew in the audience quickly. Frontman Alan Wilkis and singer Liz Ryan used spotlights on stage for dramatic effect.
