14 years after their 1998 breakup Veruca Salt re-united in 2012. Working on a 20th anniversary release of their 1994 debut album “American Thighs” they started to write new songs which lead to “Ghost Notes” released last week. They are back to their original lineup of Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Jim Shapiro and Steve Lack.
While band members have matured, their sound remains fresh and innovative. They describe their reunion as “hatchets buried, axes exhumed” They are currently on a short tour and will be at the Cedar this Thursday.
